I will not go there;
to where I fear to be.

Be Safe.

I wrote this poem the day after the Parkland School shooting in America. Despite not living there, every time I hear of another mass shooting my heart hurts. It is so preventable. I wrote this as I was sitting on the bus on the way to my University, realising that I was not scared, because I did not need to be. The likelihood of one of those people being a murderer is a slim. It is a place where I can feel safe. As it should be.

For the first time though, I do have some sort of hope for America. The young people are rising up and using their vote. #TheYoungPeopleWillWin
